Craft Tea is a crafting circle at Theatre Communications Group (TCG) in New York. Monthly, employees join together to learn a new craft while enjoying time with friends as you work your project.
History
Craft Tea came about when a few colleagues at TCG discovered some hidden talents in each other that they wanted to learn for themselves.
Purpose
DE-STRESS and learn some wonderful new crafts and hobbies from each other, in a calm after work environment. make things for yourself or make some great gifts for friends and loved ones.

The Craft Tea team has been searching for our next project. And well guys and gals I think we have found a winner. It’s the Zip It cuff! Although we have one slight problem; well we kinda actually haven’t really made one yet…. But we have a plan! Our team of expert Craft Tea crafters our having a “quick fire challenge” (as Rebecca keeps calling it). So here is how it went down:
Jason provided the inspiration which came from http://www.inhabitatshop.com/Double-Zipper-Cuff.html
We took a quick lunchtime fieldtrip to the zipper store to stock up on our challenge materials (it helps that our offices are conveniently located in the heart of NY’s garment district)
Then we started prelim design discussions and prototypes… (i.e., notice the paper clips and stapler)
Now we are off to create- I will share the designs on Monday and then we can pick a date for our next Craft Tea!
